Halloween falls on a Saturday this year, so the whole weekend turns into one long party. Kids get trick-or-treat night and a couple of parades, grown-ups get two downtown bar crawls, and the haunts and corn mazes have their last nights of the season. Here's what's going on Friday, Oct. 30 through Sunday, Nov. 1, 2026.

Quick picks
  • For the kids: Trick-or-treat Saturday night (Youngstown is 4–6 p.m.; hours by town are below), plus the Niles parade at noon
  • Free night out: Friday's downtown Youngstown Halloween Bar Crawl, 4–10 p.m., with a costume contest at the Phelps Street Gateway
  • Game day: YSU vs. North Dakota at Stambaugh Stadium, Saturday at noon
  • Last chance to get scared: Fear Forest and the Canfield Feargrounds both run through Sunday, Nov. 1
  • Quiet Sunday: The Butler Institute (free) and the YSU Side-by-Side Concert at Stambaugh at 7 p.m.

Don't forget: daylight saving time ends at 2 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 1. Set the clocks back an hour Saturday night.
